Mike Davis of BC Transit, Planning and Scheduling.Mike outlined the issues facing Public Transit in our community:1) Unable to find and hire drivers,2) Growth in demand for Public Transit,3) Infrastructure and maintenance work is being delayed,4) Security at down town bus stops,5) Budget for period beginning April 2009, cost of fuel is difficult to budget for,6) Climate change initiative will increase ridership but by how much?7) Biggest issue is Rapid Transit.
