Russ introduced our guest speaker David Jones. David a former peridonist is now dedicating his time to Community Living BC. David’s group provides support services to handicap people of Victoria. By providing alternative housing and jobs Community Living helps handicap individuals assimilate into society. Thrifty Foods employs a number of handicap individuals. The organization receives core funding but recent events such as hosting the Team Canada/Team USA women’s hockey game generated $40,000. to their cause.
